FT East Taieri Youth Director

Key leadership position in a regional Presbyterian church.

The East Taieri Church (Mosgiel) Dunedin is seeking a passionate, energetic person to lead our youth work in church and community.

Already we impact 200+ young people a week through a vibrant range of church and community-based programmes.  The successful applicant will lead an experienced, well-resourced team of youth workers, interns and a large team of committed volunteers.

You will work out of our awesome ‘Hub’ youth facility which provides all the office, meeting, recreation and storage areas you could want.  Technology and other equipment are first class.

The Youth East Taieri Director is employed by the Saddle Hill Foundation Trust and reports to the Senior Pastor.  You will be working closely with the Trust which oversees the funding, budgets and resourcing of the Youth Work.  This role will bring oversight to all aspects of the work of Youth East Taieri ministries.  Key responsibilities will include bringing direction and oversight to the different youth ministries, providing leadership for the youth team, funding coordinator, managing ‘the Hub’ and some ‘hands on’ youth work.

The Youth Director is part of the East Taieri Church Staff Leadership Team and so can impact this region through the churches vision becoming reality:

We will be a thriving church, responding to God’s grace and passionately living out our faith, wherever we live, work and play.

Together we will work alongside others to develop thriving communities where people feel connected, known, loved and valued.

This job would suit an experienced youth worker or someone with a background in teaching or social work and with proven leadership and people skills.  If this sounds like you and you want a new challenge to take your Youth Work experience to the next level, we’d be keen to hear from you.
