We invite Year 11–13 students from Presbyterian Churches and Church Schools to join us for two days of fun, food, faith, and leadership development. Hosted by Te Aka Puaho, the Presbyterian Church Schools Resource Office and the PYM Youth Leaders Network, this marae stay offers an immersive learning experience exploring:

  • Tikanga Maori

  • The emergence of Christianity among Maori and how Te Ao Maori (the Maori worldview) and Christianity can be woven together

  • The partnership between the Presbyterian Church and Te Aka Puaho

  • The Treaty of Waitangi

  • Leadership principles from Te Ao Maori

Each school or church is invited to nominate up to 5 year 11-13 students. Please discuss with us if you would like to nominate additional students.

Ideally students need to be accompanied by a youth leader, chaplain or a teacher. Please discuss with us if you are not able to do so.

This is event is proudly supported by the Justice-Compassion Trust. The aim of the Trust is to raise the church’s engagement in local communities in ministries of justice and compassion.
